about our school

Auburn South Primary School is located in Hawthorn East on Tooronga Road. Situated amongst older style homes the school has a stable student population of 565. The school’s outstanding reputation combined with accommodation constraints has meant that enrolments are zoned to the local neighbourhood area. In 1999 eight new classrooms, a music room and a multipurpose/canteen building were completed.

Four classrooms with a central hall area, a red brick two storey building, an art room, library and a science/technology centre make for a well-resourced facility. In addition to this, the school operates a Before School and After School Care program, which is located within the school grounds.
