Acknowledgement of Country

We respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung People of the Kulin Nation as the original custodians of this land on which we learn and play.

We celebrate the rich history of the longest living culture in the world, and share our gratitude for the opportunity to learn from our First Nations peoples.

We care for Land, people, waterways and nature, as they care for us. We acknowledge Elders, past and present. We pledge our commitment to truth-telling, and recognise that sovereignty of this land was never ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

All Auburn South students learn our school’s Acknowledgement of Country and accompanying signs, and we invite you to view our school’s Always Was Always Will Be student action team to see it in action!
